Sewing…
There have always been two or more sewing machines
following me in my travels from state to state. Learned from my mother,
I can say I’ve put some miles on the old Singer. With publications in
SEW NEWS, Philadelphia House & Home, local newspapers, and having taught at the nationally known
G-Street Fabrics in Maryland, I am still fine-tuning my craft on a day
to day basis. There is always something to learn. Whether it is a new
zipper installation or hand sewing yards of elegant trim onto luxurious
silk, sewing will always be a serious hobby of mine.

My
clients enjoy the latest fabrics available to the trade, custom woven
fabrics/trims, personal attention to detail and meticulous workmanship.
Below.. Proper placement of the custom
pattern onto the fabric is crucial before cutting.

Above...careful ironing of this custom
valance is crucial. A pressing cloth prevents any disasters from
the hot iron. I still have 6 more to do! They will
find their home in a caretakers cottage in Salem New York.

Toile valances add the charm this master
closet deserves.

Above ...Scalamandre silk/linen drapes are
coupled with a simple silk trim that is hand sewn to the edge. A
picture doesn't do this treatment justice.

mind the position
of the pillows (this was the only snap shot I
took!)
