Gardening is my “workout”…my outdoor expression
encompassing sweat, bruises, hives and a lot of dirt.
Yes,
you'll find that during the warmer months, I favor nature's exterior
design versus interior design. In my yard, I prefer the wide
palette of nature's earthy, warm and cool colors that always looks
unplanned but never tawdry. I plant wherever things do well in the
soil whether it is complimentary to its neighbor.
Luckily the garden is an easy place to experiment with color, texture
and proportion and get some exercise at the same time.
Last
year I grew poppies, alyssum, cleome, snapdragon, candytuft and lupines
with great success.

William Baffin roses in the entrance of the vegetable garden.
These roses are heavenly in scent!
